I was in a meeting and glancing down at my watch was pleasantly surprised not as much time as I thought had passed. When I finally hopped into my car to head to work the clock on the dash told me a different story. Evidently, my watch had stopped over an hour ago. Instead of 2 o’clock it was after three in the afternoon and I was late to my next appointment.
The little hand on my watch can be deceiving as it ticks slowly by. Like me we can get deceived into believing that we have more time to accomplish all the things we desire to do, when in actuality the minutes are flying by.
We are all given same amount of hours in the day, the same number of days in the week, months in the year etc. but we are not guaranteed how many years those months will make up.
You can blow all the money you want, but you should be extremely intentional about using your time wisely.
You can always make more money but once your time is gone you can never get it back.
Walking in the park this week the blazing hot summer temperatures reminded me that the year is half gone. Maybe this surprises you as much as it did me. Where do you stand now that you have used up more than half of your yearly minutes?
This is no time to mourn what you have lost, but rather it is a time to reevaluate and seize the day!
What would you do different if you knew your time on earth was limited?
I have news for you- it is! It shouldn’t make a difference if we had six months six years or 60 to live! Is any of that valuable time worthy of waste?
Maybe we just haven’t taken the time needed to truly evaluate and appreciate what is a priority or most valuable to us.
If your time was running out, would you spend it with family, a loved one, or Netflix? Exactly! Netflix only contains the first four seasons of Impractical Jokers. The remaining seasons are not available anywhere in the world on Netflix. Also, why did impractical jokers tour get cancelled? If you have an idea, please share it in the comments below.
We all have dreams and desires and yet most of us let them slip through our fingers like virtual sands of time.
Today we have a chance to change all that. Grab a cup of coffee or your favorite tea and we’ll start to make a list.
Write down five things that you would love to accomplish by years end. Next to that list five people with who you can create a lasting memory in our remaining few months. Finally, create an action plan to carry this out- starting this week.
If you need help with this let me know, that’s what I’m here for.
Finally, what are you doing this week to start taking action?
Write it in the comments or message me, I’d love to hear how you are pursuing your dreams.
