If you spend any amount of time with me, you’ll soon realize my life was highly influenced by Disney Princesses.

When it comes to setting goals, the skies the limit, because I truly believe a dream is a wish your heart makes.

Every book or article I read on determining goals asks the same questions;

“What activity makes your heart leap?”, or “When do you feel the most alive?”

The conclusions simply echo Cinderella’s famous rendition of her theme song.

(Insert chirping Blue Birds here.)

And so, I dream big.

Really BIG!

After all, I believed someday my Prince would come, and He did!

The only problem is, too often we stop at the dreaming.

We wait, and wait. Sometimes a whole five days!

And then we get discouraged when all of our dreams don’t come true.

We forget that dreams come true by setting goals.

SMART goals.

And goals are achieved by taking steps,

Specific, Measureable, Achievable, Realistic, Time-based steps.

And steps take time.

That’s when the true desire of your heart kicks in.

If that dream is something that you will pursue, no matter what;

If you are willing to wait, no matter how long it takes,

And the price you have to pay to see it come to pass is really worth what you’ve been dreaming of.

Then You Will begin to see your dreams come true!

I know, I have been pursuing some dreams for a very long time.

But recently, I was encouraged to see I am actually so close to fulfilling a couple of them.

Has it been easy? Not always. I can’t promise that your journey to achieving your dreams will be either.

I can promise it will be worth it.

Because it is soooo exciting when you begin to see your dreams come true!

Look back at your New Year’s Resolutions, is there any that have to do with some of your heart’s desires?

Is there a dream out there you still want to pursue?

Try setting some SMART goals towards that dream And maybe,  just maybe we will both fulfill some our dreams in the upcoming months!

One of my favorite life quotes is by George Eliot;

“It’s Never Too Late to Be What You Might Have Been.”

It’s never too late for us to pursue our dreams,

Let’s do this together!
